What questions to ask about injection therapy?

You want to ask about the three primary medications that are used and what your urologist recommends and why. You should ask about the injection itself, the size of the needle, where it should be inserted and where it should not be. If Ken is up to it you might want to ask to see the syringe that is used. Ask where you would get the medication from and how much it will cost. Make sure you understand about the storage requirements of the medication and how long it is good for when stored as specified. Ask how many of the urologist's patients are using injections. When my urologist told me that there were hundreds of men using injections that are patients of the urology clinic he heads that made me feel more confident in the injections. Most of this information you can get from the Internet but to hear your urologist go over it makes a difference.
