Hi Everyone,
I compiled a list of foods and vitamins that help with PC.  Let me know what you think.

* 1-2 tablespoons ground flax seeds (not oil)

* 1 glass of pomegranate juice

* green tea

* no red meat

* avoid grilled meats of any type

* lots of fruits and vegetables

* minimize dairy products

* cayenne pepper & jalapeno – kills PC cells

* Turmeric - contains a potent cancer-fighting agent

* soy products

* raw nuts

* grains

* cooked tomato / tomato sauce

* follow anti-inflammatory diet

Vitamins / Supplements:

* omega-3 (cod liver oil / small fish – contains less mercury)

* garlic (kyolic)

* B-complex (50 mg)

* selenium (200 mcg)

* esther-C (500 mg)

* vitamin D - 1000 iu)

* iron  – helps restore blood loss post surgery

Thanks for the list. I have been searching for something like this. I do have a few questions though. I can understand avoiding red meat, but why grilled meat? As for cayenne and turmeric, as from the spice rack? or fresh and ground up?

I would add Salmon or other fatty fish to the diet section and Alpha Lipoic Acid to the supplements. There are several studies that show Alpha Lipoic Acid being benificial to the recovery of damaged nerves.

Hi NewJourney,

Here are some sources I found online, I hope this helps.

Red meat - "Exposure to high levels of a cancer-causing substance known as PhIP, which is found in grilled meats, has been associated with the development of prostate cancer in laboratory animals..."

Turmeric - "Turmeric And Some Vegetables Could Halt Prostate Cancer ..."

HotPeppers - "Pepper 'kills prostate cancer"
