My husband has just been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

PSA 2.9 (1.5 last year); Gleason 6; 12 biopsy samples taken, 3 having cancer cells, two on one side and one on the other side.

Grade T2A.

He is age 70 and on oxygen 24/7.

Comments appreciated as to what treatment would be well tolerated.

Most treatments are well toloerated unless its late stage disease. Your husband is on oxygen 24/7 and that indicates a respratory illness that may factor into what treatment he should select. But because of his age and low PSA and Gleason, he sounds like a good candidate for radiation therapy. Perhaps seed implants or beam radiation. You would best consult your doctors however. If he is otherwise healthy then removing the prostate is not out of the question.

Best of luck to you.
