Hi Johnboy

I have never read any discussion here regarding the ProstRcision procedure.  As I remember it is a brachytherapy type intervention.  I wouldn't be surprised if someone here has an answer to your question.

If you have had this procedure, please share your experience with us.  We all learn from one another. Thanks for being here.

redface  Hi lifeguyd

ProstRcision is a procedure performed at the Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia. The procedure consist of  implanting  the prostate with radioactive seeds followed by Precision Conformal Beam Radiation. My psa have discreased from a high of 6 to 4 since I complete my treatment in oct. 2006. The goal is reduce the psa score to 0.2 within  2-5 years after the treatment.

Go to their webb site at www.rcog.net for a better explanation

of the program or call them at 404-320-1550/1-800-952-7687.

Hi ~ JohnBoy,   It's the first we’ve heard of this procedure. It’s nice to see another option here on the forum for Newbies to research…     Please consider adding a Signature Line … The Helpful Hints link located in the 2nd locked thread at the top on the prostate main page titled:   Prostate Cancer Resources, Helpful Hints, and Topic Thread Links   will help guide you to getting your signature started…   (this is really helpful to all of us) Keeping you close in thoughts and prayers. In Friendship ~ Lee & Buddy

Johnboy,

Did you go to a prostate cancer treatment center in Georgia for treatment (ROCG I think) ? That one sticks in my mind. I exhchanged e-mails once or twice with a couple of Doc's. Seemed like good people.

SWIMOM,

Yes, I took all of my prostate cancer treatment at the ROCG (RADIOTHERAPY CLINICS OF GEORGIA). They have some excellent doctors and staff there.
