I had my first CT scan (7/17) after having radiation treatments and the report states "two
sclerotic bone lesions are seen in the left iliac wing". My surgeon made no mention of it nor
did my radiologist. My oncologist just mentioned it as an afterthought. When I asked if we
should be concerned he just said it was noted in prior study of 1/5/07 and that nothing has
changed. In researching this I found that there can be a dozen or so reasons for bone lesions
and bone cancer is low on the list but if there is a history of cancer that reason jumps to
the top of the list. I'm scheduled for my next CT scan the end of October but I feel that my
doctors are not that concerned or not very forthcoming. The reasons for the CT scans is that
I also had renal cancer and had a partial nephectomy so they want to monitor that closely.
If anybody has any thoughts or experiances with this it would be most appreciated.

Ken,

The sclerosed spots could be about anything including an old, hardend cyst from childhood.
