Hi everyone, anyone heard of Pca being related to asbestos exposure? I worked in a coal fired power station for 30 years, and there was asbestos everywhere, on the pipes and ducts and floating in the air. A lot of my former fellow workers have since died of asbestos related disease.

Just wondering.

I have not. But I know it is a lung ailment. I think it's called mesothelioma, a cancer of the lining of the lung (pleura) or the lining of the abdominal cavity (peritoneum). It is obviously a bad carcenigen.

Hi maldugs , I found the following three links: da Vinci® Surgery web – Environmental and Other Causes of Prostate Cancer www.davincisurgery.com/prostate_cancer_causes.aspx Environmental Factors - Prostate Cancer Research Foundation www.prostatecancer.ca/english/prostate_owners_manual/risk_factors/lifestyle/environmental/ Index_4-17_06 Copy.fp5 – Findings saying asbestos is not a cause www.albany.edu/sph/poster_2006/abstracts/regish.pdf It doesn’t look conclusive either way. Good luck, Idaho
