I wonder how much this plays a role in people getting cancer.  Does anyone know of a website that specifies cancer rates by neighborhoods?

Hello A,

I believe there have been many studies on just that subject, and I'm affraid a bit late for me. Marland seems to be a cancer hot spot. I guess I could move, but the cumulative damage has already been done. If you find any of these studies please post them.

My polution hotspot is caused by the department of energy (DoE) and every state in the contiguous US. Las Vegas is 90 miles south of the nations largest Nuclear Test Site. Since of course A-bombs and the like are no longer tested, the site has been converted to a nuclear dump site for all states. Yucca Mountain is very close to this very populous area. Needless to say we are not fans of the legislation that allows all the states to ship their nuclear waste along our freeways and byways. There has to be a better solution.
