Hello Friends… Just got back from my urologist and wanted to report my first post-op PSA.

PSA (taken 9/11/2007) = 0.04 ng/mL (undetectable)... I'm good for another 3 months.  So… I went home and my wife fixed me 5 pancakes to celebrate and I ate them all.  That was more sugar than I've had in months!

Thanks so much for your support and prayers!  I wish the rest of you comfort and success in fighting this disease.

Idaho,

That is great news. Who would have ever thought that any of us would ever want to make a ZERO on a test. I am so happy for you. Keep it up.

I love your state. I lived in Boise way back in the early 60's. It is still my favorite place that I have ever lived. Great weather, beautiful mountains, and the very best people. Kind of like you.

One day I plan to come back and see if the old homestead is still standing.

Best of luck and keep gettin' those ZERO's.

Thanks so much to all of you for the well-wishes thus far!  ... and War Eagle, I lived in So. California in the 60's and Idaho has it beat (in my humble opinion).  Please let me know if you come to check out the old homestead;... and Susan... yes the pancakes were excellent!  I wish I could have shared them will all of you! - Idaho

Congratulations IdahoSurvivor on your goose egg.
I had a goose egg as well on the 12 of September, but I must admit, yours is a lot better than mine :-) .
Hope you'll have many more of those in your future.

**"Report to the Nation on Prostate Cancer" published by the Prostate Cancer Foundation, page 11: "In some cases, the pathologist might identify a third pattern, which is less common but that has a higher grade than either of the first two patterns that comprised the Gleason score. The presence of this third pattern might indicate that the tumor is more aggressive than the Gleason score would otherwise imply. For example, if a Gleason 4+3 tumor also has some grade 5 cells, the cancer would be considered as being of higher grade disease overall."
