How you doin?
August of 2006, PSA up to 4.2 from 2.7 one year ago.
October free and total PSA 12% free and 5.0 total.
A month, or so later, 4.7.
Late in the year decide on Image Guided IMRT.
Begin 43 treatments on January 23, 2007 and finish on March 23.
Four month post treatment PSA is 1.9.  (This is a very good result.)
No side, or after effects.  None.
I have aged a year and am now 63.  How did that happen?

Hi Bill,

Doing o.k. if you get a trip up this way let me know, it would be nice to meet.  I'm still hanging in there and check the boards regularly.  I know a lot of folks consider watchful waiting or expectant management a fools game and I expect some day I will come to a treatment decision when the scores rise.  I'm taking part in a clinical trial aimed toward more accurate diagnosis of those of us at the lower end of the scale (Gleasons 6 or less, 2 or fewer cores with minimal involvement and a low PSA).  There's a lot of research out there dealing with over-diagnosis as well.  Trying not to second guess myself, but I'm comfortable with what I'm doing.  It's really not just waiting for the other shoe to drop.  Saw you met Gordy, so if you're in the D.C. area let me know.  Glad you're back in the air. Best wishes.

Boo

Hi Boo,

I know that you are kind of a private guy, but if you can manage it some info on your clinical trial would be welcome. We need more info on a variety of treatments. I think Trey and myself are the only radiation guys and justjulie is the only seed person. I think three have done the proton deal. A couple of HIFU guys. We need a more balanced forum so others who are surgery averse can participate. Just a thought.

Yeah, I got to meet Les (Gordy) and Mica (mvesr) and it was really neat. Great guys, both of them. Are you still at Potomac Approach? Where is it located? We use Dulles since all the corporate jets that crashed into buildings aren't allowed at National. Your government at work.

Take Care, my Friend,

Bill
