Have anyone had surgery performed by Dr. Dinesh Telang, MD?  He works in Michigan.  Good or bad info is appreciated.

Bowling07,

Telang is a Beaumont Doc, correct? Just make certain he's done many many surgeries and you feel comfortable with that. Otherwise, try another. You know this area...always trying to one up each other and that includes having the best Doc's around. Beaumont has been promoting their robotic assisted prostatectomies for a while now. Ask Telang how many he's done and what his outcomes are. If his number is low, find someone else. It supposedly takes 50 to master the procedure, if that helps any.

My DH used David Wood at the U. There's plenty of choices in this area so take your time and choose whom ever you feel is best suited to your needs. Hopefully you aren't restricted by insurance. Beaumont does have some of the most sought after Doc's in the area though, so you headed to the right place :>) I'm thinking you should be able to find one of the best right where you're at. Good Luck.
