I apologize for being "out of commission" so long! nono

I have been working 12-14 hour days for the past three weeks (major crunch time at work) and it won't let up much until the end of November (oh... I do get Thanksgiving off).  I go to work very early in the morning and I often need to attend meetings with co-workers in foreign countries between 11:00pm and 12:30am Mountain Time (need sleep).

I can see the forum is doing very well, but do I miss my dear co-moderator, bluebird, as you do.  I also miss your words of encouragement and support to one other as these expressions lift my spirits as well!

I will try to do much better in being on-line.   Forgive me? :-)

You all are the best!!!

Sincerely, your friend,

Idaho (your re-appearing moderator)

Hi Idaho,

What an interesting (yet busy!) work time for you... but take a rest mate!
Thank you for all you do, Barry. You do an excellent job here always....

Hi Idaho,

I understand the hours, though it causes stress, sometimes that's the only way to get things done! (Pipeline construction calls for as many hours as a person can work!) :-)
Take care of yourself and get the shuteye you need.

Hi, Idaho - as a freelancer, I can certainly understand! We joke that a work week is 32/8 instead of 24/7! Just as you and MamaB are here for us - back at ya!

Hi Barry,

You pace yourself so you don't get sick, OK? I know work demands super-human effort some times, but all that OT will just put you in a higher income bracket. Tax season was the same story for me, and before working in compliance I didn't have a single gray hair on my head...well maybe one or two. Take your vitamines, eat right (BBQ'd brisket is good), and do some walking (it will help you sleep).

Good luck,

Glen

Thanks, Glen...

'tis very good advice!

I hope you're doing well, my friend.

Idaho-Barry,

Your work here is so very much appreciated.
Your coherent calming influence and spot-on research is always exactly what we need.
(Your friends here know to shoot you an email if we need your help right away.)

Being in the food business, this time of year is crunch time for us, too.
Our little joke concerns "leaving early":

"Only working a half-day?  Yes, I'm only working 12 hours....."

When young people I work with approach me about choosing this career,
I always advise them that
if they don't really like this type of work
and especially the people they find here,
    - choose something else!

Thanks!

CCedar
ICTHUS!

P.S., Glen, we Texans always like to hear someone recommend BBQ brisket!

Barry,
For all you have done on here for me, as well so many others, you never need to apologize to anyone. Healing well is the name of the game, you take whatever time you need to do just that! I could tell you not to work so hard, but I know from personal experience that advise usually falls on deaf ears. Just know that you are appreciated by all of us on Healingwell, , and we look forward to hearing from you whenever you have the time.
Best,
Mike

Dear Barry,   W hat makes HealingWell’s Prostate Forum so powerful ~ is the sharing and caring of all of our members.   Working together as a Team.   It’s like a wheel with 10 spokes.   If one is missing the wheel still turns.   If two are missing the wheel still turns… If 6 are missing…. Hmmmmmm it starts to become weak.   That’s not going to happen here!!!       You don’t need to try to do better!!   And you don’t have anything to be forgiven for…   and no need to apologize. (  All of this in your 1 st posting on this thread    )   It’s important to all of us ~ that you take care of “YOU”.    You are still on the healing/recovery stepping-stone and we sure don’t want you back sliding!   Get the rest you need.   And know we are “all” here when the time allows…   Moving forward is part of this path we are on.... keeping close in many ways!!   We are so grateful to have you as part of this team in the form of member / friend / and moderator . Gentle Hugs and Warm Thoughts are coming your way… In Friendship ~ Lee & Buddy

NO need to apologize, Barry. Life and time are demanding, and I appreciate what you do here. As bluebird said, if one spoke is missing the wheel keeps turning. We're all here to help one another.

Same here Barry and to my other friends on the board.

I've also been buried in business and a few personal issues lately -- and remiss in posting here.

As the holidays approach, I have a bit to stress about, such as 22 relatives coming for Thanksgiving, including seven staying with us during the week prior and after.  ALL MY WIFE'S FAMILY!! They eat me out of house and home!

(I'm gonna put on my Brooklyn hat and steal some dough from their wallets and pocketbooks.)  LOL.

But as far as stress goes, at least I'm not stressing about PCa at the moment --  my next PSA test is in February, so that's a good thing.

Relax Barry,

Enjoy the holiday.

You've earned it.

And, as always, Thank God for Bluebird, who holds this place together for all of us!

Tom
