I got an early Christmas Present today.  At my doctor's appointment, I found out that my first post radiation PSA is 0!!!!!  Since my previous PSA test was .08, it seems that the adjuvant radiation therapy zapped any of those cells still left in there.  I had my third Zoladex injection as well, and my doc's want that to continue for a total of two years.  Since my insurance pays for it and I don't feel any significant side effects, that's o.k. with me.  (Sudden "warm" flashes are wierd, however.)   My blood pressure was a bit high, but since I've been really nervous about this, that's understandable.  With my doctor's blessing, I'm continuing my natural methods as well:  Selenium tablets, Flax Seed on my morning cereal, and pomegranite capsules, plus excercise as well.    I admit to feeling jealous at times, reading about those who have their cancer contained to the prostate, but for those of us with "positive margins", we have more options!

I want to wish a very Merry Christmas to the members of this forum!  While I don't post daily, and it's been awhile, I have it on my favorites and visit it daily.  Good thoughts and information are beneficial for your psyche!  I also encourage members of my various officials groups to get tested early.  Education is one of the keys to this beast.

Hi Hawk,
Good to see you back, and even better with the news you bring. The "options" you mention are something that make your other statement a better discussion. Awareness is really not where it should be. It is a much better option to be tested than the options to be treated for what we faced.
