Hi everyone,

I have resumed the diet after getting sick on gluten last week , however I have noticed that my tonsil on the left side is all red and swollen, I haven't had tonsilitis in twenty years, could this be a reaction to the gluten , something like an allergy, I don't know if I can get in to see the doctor this soon before Christmas yet I wonder if I need an antibiotic, my sinuses are also quite clogged with tons of post nasal drip , no white spots on the tonsils yet , can a food allergy cause this? has anything like this happen to any of you ?

Thank you for any advice,

Miche

I don't have celiac or food allergies but I'm no stranger to chemical allergies,
sinus infections and tonsilitis. I used to get them all the time from different chemicals
I used at work, other people smoking, perfumes, etc. I use Colustrum (bovine breast
milk in a pill) and it has boosted my immune system so I only get a couple a year now.
For tonsilitis, acidepolis is great. Whenever I ran out of it I would immediately get infected
again. I finally had them out at the age of 49.

I haven't been able to do perfumes, scented candles, any kind of scented detergent or fabric softener,
hand creams or anything. I use All Free & Clear detergent and fabric softener. Clorox 2 Free. Then I
use apple cider vinager in the rinse cycle to get any leftover stuff out of my clothes (use a downy
dispenser to the fill line, it doesn't leave smell). Every year at work they have a fire safety thing where
a guy douses himself with lighter fluid and we have to put him out. Even though it's done in another room,
the smell carries into the kitchen where I work. This lasts for two days and needless to say, every year I get a major sinus infection. This year it was a doosie. The dr. knows I do herbals so he prescribes
Cipro which come to find out you can't use with herbals. Trust me I'm looking for a new MD.

Nana, cipro and all the drugs in that family are horrible drugs , can't blame you for not taking it, the only antibiotic I resort to is amoxil when I am in desperate of an antibiotic , it's the one that gives me the least problem , right now I tend to panic as my nose is so blocked that I yawn and gasp for breath, no fun , I did the neti pot to no avail , I suspect it's a combination of gluten , dairy and scents that brought it on , yikes! hope I get better for Xmas , right now I would inhale anything for relief LOL

I usually use marshmallow root, goldenseal (don't use if you're ragweed intollerent) or a combo
of slippery elm, fennugreek and thyme. They do good on unstuffing especially the marshmallow root.
Usually I can take echenacia or extra colostrum for immune booster but this time it didn't touch it.
I can't do amox and I'm allergic to the cillin line. He usually prescribes Z-pack but this time he didn't

I have Chronic Epstein Barr mono. One of my symptoms is my left tonsil swelling & my left ear hurting. My Dr also said that I had a large amount of gluten in my blood. I am now on a gluten free diet. I am taking Famvir for my chronic mono.
