I was wondering if anyone had tried the Soy Nut Butter and how it tastes.  I have found that everytime I eat some peanut butter, my lips tingle.  I'm guessing it must be a low level allergy.  No breathing problems - this is something new.  I 've been eating PB for 50 years or more.  It just seems in the last year or so, the tingling is a little unsettling.  I thought about buying the soy nut butter but if it tastes terrible, I hate to spend the 5.00 on it.... Any thoughts?  I have purchased almond butter and it is good but at 9.99 it is expensive.

I haven't tried soy butter. You might be able to find some reviews on it at http://www.innatehealthfoundation.org/wiki/index.php?title=Food_Products. However, if you have difficulty with food allergies/intolerances, you may want to make sure that you do not have an issue with soy, as well. Almond and cashew butter can be expensive, you are right. Sometimes you can get a better deal if you find it in a bulk source. I have also found sunflower seed butter to be very tasty, and generally less expensive.

I recomend avoiding soy like the plague: Check out the book "The Whole Soy Story" and do lots of research on soy before you buy into health claims
