I was wondering if anyone has connected constipation to having eaten gluten by mistake.  I read this somewhere and after keeping track of my diet, I think I am seeing some correlation.  I am trying my best to be totally gluten free but every so often I think I have a slip.
Presently on: 600 mg. Remicade every 5 weeks
                   Venofer infusion every 5 weeks
                   B12 every 5 weeks
                   12 Asacol daily
                   Zofran as needed

Yes, gluten can cause constipation. Before I went on a gf diet, I think gluten was contributing to my slow gut motility (slow stomach emptying, constipation) because I've seen some improvement in both conditions since starting the gf diet.
