I have just discovered what could be a huge rival to the Udi line of baked goods.  Katz Gluten Free Bread and baked goods are fantastic.  I went to their website, Katzglutenfree.com and they sent me a sample box of goodies.  I cannot stress how great the challah was.  It was soft and moist and had a sweet nutty flavor.  The bread did not crumble and definitely did not need to be toasted.  I had it plain, with dairy free margarine, grilled cheese sandwich, and a chicken salad sandwich.  The baked goods are soft, tender, flavorful and delicious.

I feel so lucky to have found this product and am trying to convince our local Sprouts to carry these items.  I haven't tried everything in their line, but if what I have tried is indicative of the rest, this is one wonderful product line.

I almost cried when I made a grilled cheese sandwich with the Katz Challah and Daiya dairy free cheese shreds.

Not sure exactly where this product is carried, but their website has a thingy that you can put in your zip code and they tell you the closest retailer.

It would be interesting to hear from people who have tried both the Katz and the Udi breads and get some other opinions.
