My name is Kathryn and I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in June. I've been gluten-free ever since. 48 hours after going gluten-free I started to feel significantly better. However, since September I've starting feel worse again. Diarrhea, severe abdominal cramping worse than before I gave up gluten, mouth sores, and blood in stool. My gastro. doc is currently evaluating me for Crohn's and he suspects that's what's wrong. However, after doing research online I don't think I feel as sick as people with Crohn's seem to. The diarrhea and cramping is bad, but it's not everyday, and it's much less than when I was eating gluten. Could the Celiacs still be playing up? Could I still be experiencing symptoms 9 months post gluten? I'm very strict about what I eat, and the medicines I take. I have separate utensils for cooking, but I guess there's always a chance of cross-contamination. Anyone ever experience this?
