Yes, it is possible to have a problem with gluten and not have any GI (upper or lower) symptoms. Some people get a skin condition called Dermatitis Herpetiformis instead of gut problems from gluten, and they have a variation of Celiac that affects their skin.
Also, the gut can have significant inflammation and yet the person can have no symptoms. This is seen in some cases of Dermatitis Herpetiformis.
And there are those who get neurological symptoms from gluten (i.e., Gluten Ataxia) instead of gut symptoms.
