My father has celiac, I have been blood tested 3 times (all negative, with one test showing heightened levels). I have been working with GI's, all believe I do not have celiac, but would rather state I have IBS. I am curious if anyone else has the symptoms I have?

Constipation

bloating/gas

hives on legs (usually in the evening)

I have tried to follow a gluten free diet, but it is not easy (especially when I dont even know if I should) and I have not been able to pinpoint my symptoms as being food related. I worry that I may have celiac, but will never have a proper diagnosis. I am a 30 year old woman and I worry about longterm health and infertility b/c of celiac. Otherwise, I am in great health, very active and I eat very healthy.

Non-celiac gluten sensitivity is becoming increasingly common. Try a strict elimination diet of gluten for 2 weeks and see if any of your symptoms improve. That is really the only way to know if you have gluten sensitivity.

I agree with jimmyh I was getting the rash on the outside of my legs for about a year had to take Benadryl every day and just like yours it only came at the evening! Most my friends think I am nuts. now after being gluten and dairy free I have not had hives in a week
