Hi all,

I've been having suspicions I might be gluten intolerant for a while now. The symptoms I experience appear about a day after I eat food containing gluten which is mainly bread as I adore it!

My symptoms are bloating, fatigue (sometimes I can't wake up and get out of bed) and lack of focus, gas, diarrhea but at times constipation. Several years ago I got diagnosed with a thyroid issue which was not finally confirmed.

I've had symptoms of bloating after eating wheat since I was a child, but never went to see a doctor because my mother just thought it was a general discomfort. The doctors advised me to take walks on the beach while my feet in the salty water (to relieve bloating) ... :(

During the last couple of years, I've tried to go gluten free but as I mentioned I crave bread and when I do, I eat a lot of bread. Of course, I feel terrible the following day (which I am completely responsible for). During the days and weeks of being gluten free, I definitely feel better and no symptoms appear.

I am almost certain that I am gluten intolerant, however I was wondering whether anyone has experienced similar symptoms?

Thank you,
An

I had very similar symptoms, and after having my thyroid and thyroid antibodies checked, my doctor suggested a gluten free diet. I have also not been able to lose weight recently.

I have been gluten free for 1 week, and have already lost 4 pounds, and feel less bloated and fatigued. Is this weight loss normal?
