Hi everybody,

I am currently suffering from what feels like the most horrible cramps of my life. They are primarily in my rectum, but extends throughout my entire lower stomach and back. They feel exactly like what people describe as "proctalgia fugax," except most people with thatvsay the cramps only last a few minutes and mine have been going for over 3 hours. They come in these waves: I feel very uncomfortable and minorlt crampy and then all of a sudden it hurts so badly I could cry out. I can't find any position to lessen the pain and Advil has not helped. Please does this happen to anybody else, and what can I do to stop it?? I have had this happen maybe 10 times in the last 9 months, and never before that. They started occurring soon after I had an IUD placed (possibly related) and about 8 months after I was diagnosed celic

I get cramps in hands, feet, and legs and what helps me is a shot of apple cider vinegar.

You should see your doctor to determine if this is celiac disease-related. Have you had CD follow-up testing? Do you suspect a glutening? You might have another autoimmune issue, like Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn's.

Please get to your GI.

I wish you well!
