I have a question for those of you with colitis. I recently went to my doctor with redness, soreness and swelling of my toes. My doctor said that some forms of colitis could cause this but not my type which is Microscopic Colitis. She believes it is a vascular problem with not enough blood flowing through my veins. She is sending me for an ultrasound. Has anyone with Celiac and Colitis have this disease? Glenice

I do have celiac disease, Hashimoto’s and Autoimmune gastritis, but not Colitis. More commonly associated with celiac disease is Type 1 diabetes and thyroiditis, but you can develop any additional autoimmune disorders and vasculitis is one of them.
