I just got my lab results from two weeks ago

TSH  = 2.88

Free T4 = .94

Free T3 = 2.5

Nurse said they were all in the normal range.  I don’t understand how the numbers are showing normal. I have gained 5 lbs in the past week! Yikes! Still have hot flashes.. and then Im freezing.

I made an appointment to talk to my doc but that wont be till 15 October.

What do I do? What do I ask for? Im so darn confused.

Please help!

Current meds:

Lexapro 10 mg

Methimazole 5mg

I was diagnosed with Hashi’s about 5 years ago.

Your T4 sounds off, but I'm no expert.

Hi gijoelswife,

I have hypothyroidism and sometimes I think you should go by how you feel rather than what the lab results say.  My Dr. has been keeping me in the "normal" range for years and I've never felt quite right.  However, since he's a Dr. I never questioned him.  Also, different Dr.'s have different views on what the "normal" range is.  My Dr. likes to keep me at around 3.0, supposedly the middle of the range...but a different Dr. told me that is considered too high for his liking.  Now I'm going to make sure if I don't feel right that he needs to increase my thyroid meds because I'm tired of feeling sick!  Good luck.  :-)
