strangling feeling on right side of neck?

I'm new here and wanted to ask if anyone has ever had a strangling/pressure on the right side of their neck?  I've had this for a while now and it's driving me crazy.  It started out just at night, but now it's most of the day and night.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

      Dear KO,

     I get a "strangling" sensation in my neck alot. I have Inherited Hypoparathyroidism. It is from one of the side effects called "tetany". Very frustraiting.

     I would suggest you talk to your primary care doctor as soon as you can. He/she can do simple bood test to check for potential problems.
