Sometimes it can effect you neurologically. When it does, it usually means there is an autoimmune disease playing on it.
Moderators this is from my personal experience, not medical training. With my recent diagnoses of thyroid issues, it helped my oncologist (yes a cancer doctor) figure out which autoimmune disease I have that caused my rare inflammation (Necrotizing Grammultous Inflammation) and my tumor.
