Hi guys, I've been having problems with my weight for nearly the past year now and I could really do with some help.....
First I'll give you some history......I've been hypothyroid for about
ten years now, at the beginning I had problems with my weight but when the medication was right I managed to loose all the weight I has gained and more. Last year out of the blue, I started to suffer with reflux I had it so bad that I could hardly breathe and ended up in hospital on more than one occasion. I was given ppi's which did help the reflux, but my weight just crept up so much I had to give them up. So, I've kinda got the reflux stable without drugs (I'm going for a PH and manamonetry test in two weeks) just to see how acid my stomach is, but I still can't lose weight??? I'm exercising and my diet is healthy, even when I just have a few hundred calories a day the weight can go up. My blood tests are in the "norm" so the doc can't/won't do anything for me, he says "it's just one of those things" not much help to me. I'm sure there must be something I'm missing?? I just can't put my finger on it!!! If anyone has any idea what I could do to loose this excess weight I'd be very grateful.
I almost forgot to say that a lot of my hypo symptoms have returned, like insomnia, constipation, brittle nails, lethargy, etc etc
