Hello All...going through some tough times trying to get a diagnosis. All tests for arthritis and inflammation are negative. But my joints hurt... It started with heel pain and achilles tendon pain. Now a couple of fingers hurt and are slightly swollen, and my other joints are a little sore too. Anybody have heel pain and plantar fasciitis as first signs of thyroid trouble? Just wondering... And if I suspect this, what tests should I order? Just TSH? Thanks for any and all help!!!

Your description of your pains sound like Lupus signs.
Two years ago I was plagued with painful feet. I could barely hobble around the house. I even went to a PT for treatment of plantar fasciitis. Nothing seemed to help me.
In less than two months after the pain started I started hurting in my joints and swelling up.The doctor did a blood test called ANA test. It came back positive.
Ask your doctor to run an ANA test. If it comes back positive have him send you to a rheumatologist ASAP.

Hello...I have had the Ana test and it is negative. My Crp and other inflammation markers are negative too. So is my rhem factor. I am at a loss which is why I am considering thyroid problems...

It sounds like the exact same symptoms I began having with fibromyalgia.
