PREFACE- When I was 16 I was told I had very little cartilage in my joints and I had "snapping hip" and have off and on since then experienced some mild pain in my hips. I am currently 31 and up until two weeks ago, aside from feeling tired often, I am pretty healthy.
In the last few months, or maybe even a year, I have felt fatigued and not my "I can do everything and more" normal self. A few weeks ago I became aware of my heart beating at times when I felt stressed or agitated. Then 12 days ago my right butt cheek, the right 1/2 of my girl parts and my entire leg and foot went numb. I went to the Chiropractor and he said I had pinched my Sciatic nerve and after two days of adjustments the numbness didn't stop and my hip and pelvis were radiating pain. I also had the awareness of my heart beat and at points it felt like it was going to pound out of my chest and took my breath away. By day 7 the numbness was radiating down to my left leg and my entire body was fatigued and I felt like I was having a panic attack, (not really the panic type) and went to urgent care.
Urgent care sent me to ER stating that I was having "palpitations with a 120bpm". After explaining that I came in because it had been a week of restless nights due to the numbness and pain and some chest discomfort they did an EKG that came back abnormal and I was admitted into the hospital.
3 days and every test possible done on my heart I was given a clean bill of health. They were discharging me but my pain in my hip and pelvis along with the numbness was still present and had not been addressed. They did a X-RAY, CAT and MRI and they showed a few bulging discs but nothing pinching my nerves and no abnormalities in the CAT aside from a ovarian cyst and 2 soft calcium deposits in my hip on the x-ray.
My mother swears I have Hoshimoto's, she has it along with A typical MS, lupus, degenerative disc disease, RA and a few other AI diseases I can't think to name.
My labs showed no inflammation, (odd because every joint hurts SO badly), normal thyroid levels, although my THS jumped from 1 to 7.83 and then back to 1.2 during my stay (probably due to the radiation injections?) and I was sent on my way with no answers.
My other levels are on the low range of normal...I would walk to get the report for the exact numbers but walking sounds icky. I can give them if needed when asked :)
There is something wrong, I am not crazy. I have watched my mom take oodles of pills and have a lot of down days and have always sworn it was in her head and when I realized it wasn't I thought it would never happen to me. I feel like a jerk now. She said her ANA tests were negative for 5 years before she was positive and finally got a Dr. to take her seriously and diagnose her.
I just went to the Dr. my Mom wrks for and we ordered more labs and so far my ANA just came back negative, THS is in the normal range and I am waiting on the others. I have an appointment with a Neurologist May 3rd. My insurance at work has not kicked in yet and all these labs and Dr. visits after the hospital stay I am paying for and we will be walking from our home to ensure we can afford to find out what is wrong. I just can't afford to waste money on a test or Dr. that can't help me with answers. That is why I ask all of you, in hopes to jump through a few less hoops.
I still have moments my heart races out of the blue and my body aches, badly. My feet are no longer numb unless I sit or walkfor too long and my middle finger on both hands have experienced numbness. Please help if you can.
Thanks in advance!
