I am fairly new, only a couple post from me. I thought maybe someone here could let me know where to go (be nice!) if I said a bit about myself.

Yes, I suffer from depression and anxiety...........that is not the issue right now.

Chronic joint pain and the only thing the PCP says is 'Osteo'.....I get such a sore spot so low on back that it's almost the top of rear end and hip pain. Surprising, it is worse at night (sleeping) and better when moving around........

Off the topic there.........my real question is this: I have episodes where I just can't keep my eyes open..........no pattern to it, plenty of sleep. It almost feels like my eyes are shutting and can feel it all the way to my feet.....(that doesn't make sense, but have no other way of describing)

In a nutshell (which I fit quite well in!).....on top of the above mentioned sleepy (extreme but not often), OA, weight gain, extreme dry mouth and tons of dental work, extreme sweat (hair, back of neck, between breasts), joint pain (some days worse than others) but chronic and etc.
Could someone help me or lead me to the correct forum please!

Thanks!

Obviously we can't diagnose you, but your symptoms don't really suggest thyroid problem to me. Individual symptoms could be consistent with hypothyroidism (sleepiness) or hyperthyroidism (perspiration), but taken in whole it doesn't sound like thyroid. The best way to tell is to have a thyroid panel run. Ask your doctor to start with a TSH, T3 and T4. T3 and T4 are hormones produced by the thyroid gland. TSH is produced in the pituitary gland and is the controller for the thyroid. An extremely low TSH suggests hyperthyroidism, while an extremely high one suggests hypothyroidism.

Good luck in your quest.

I second that you should be tested for Lyme disease. Also, have you talked to your doctor
about the possibility of Fibromyalgia?
