Ok I just got my TSH result from my dr’s office.  My levels went from 3.98 to 5.43 (the higher the number, the slower your thyroid is working) in a month while increasing my dosage from 37.5 to 50 mg.  so the nurse just called and said he’s increasing my dosage to 75.  Huh?  No way – I said I have hyperthyroid symptoms and to tell him that.  ugh

what does this mean?

i just had a throat scope yesterday for this lump in my throat feeling - nobody has even mentioned it could be thyroid related.  ugh

What are your symptoms and which medication are you taking?

i was starting to sweat at night - feel nervous - lump in my throat feeling - heartrate was faster - so i went back to what i was taking a week ago.  ugh  i read that steroids can affect your tsh and how you absorb synthroid.  i got a kenalog shot for allergies about 3 weeks ago and took prednisone for an illness.  hmmm wonder if that's for the weird reading.
