I've had health issues for over 30 years and been to many drs who all had a different diagnosis (if any) and treatment options (if any). I'm 50 and four years ago, I was finally diagnosed with hypothyroid, adrenal fatigue, insomnia, perimenopause, hypoglycemia, and Fibromyalgia as well as probably some things I can't remember.
Nothing any dr has done (and there weren't many who actually did anything) has made much of a difference. The last one was a Naturopath who wanted to do about
$1000 worth of tests and prescribe a bunch of vitamins among other things. I couldn't do all that as I don't have any health insurance so I only took a few tests. She actually got me feeling better, but only marginally so. It was quite expensive to keep buying them and I wasn't feeling all that much better so I stopped all vitamins and tried to manage on my own.
At this point, I am at a loss as to what to do now. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars in my lifetime and gotten nowhere. PLUS...many of my symptoms can be attributed to more than one of my issues so I'm not really sure what the underlying issue really is. Most days I'm able to function, but I'm tired, in pain, a bit overwhelmed and a little forgetful.
Would a multi vitamin help me? Are any of you on one? If so, which one? I tried one that said it was more complete than Centrum Silver this past week, but I didn't realize it had niacin in it. I had another niacin reaction so I can't take that anymore.
I'm just tired of wasting money and feeling worse each year.
