Hi everyone, I had my entire thyroid removed in January due a very large nodule, I have been hypothyroid for about 15 years and taking .250mcg of Synthroid.  I am healing well from the surgery but there are so many side effects they don't tell you about!  I am now getting terrible anxiety, palpitations, depression and it goes on and on.  I've done alot of reading and have found this happens to many people and I'm just hoping it will all go away once my TSH and PTH level off.  Anyone else having similar symptoms?  Is there anything I can naturally to make it stop?  I really don't want to take tranquilizers, etc.  Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
Do you have your most recent blood test, if so post them with reference range!

In principle the surgery should has no side effect, but eventually, it will make you hypO for the rest of your life, and you should be on thyroid hormone replacement, just taking levothyroxine is not enough, you need to adjust the dose properly for you!

It sounds that you are over medicated, since the symptoms you describe are hypER symptoms and 250 mcg/day is a huge dose.

Good Luck
