I have Lyme Disease and have also been diagnosed as having Euthyroid Disease as defined:
Euthyroid sick syndrome, sick euthyroid syndrome, non-thyroidal illness syndrome or low T3 low T4 syndrome is a state of adaptation or dysregulation of thyrotropic feedback control where the levels of T3 and/or T4 are at unusual levels, but the thyroid gland does not appear to be dysfunctional. This condition is often seen in starvation, critical illness or patients in intensive care unit.
So Lyme Disease is a critical illness. I am just wondering if anybody else deals with this particular Thyroid Disorder and how you were able to determine it to be Euthyroid Disease? What is your experience and how have you managed it?
I appreciate any and all input on this. Thanks!
