Hi Thank you for the reply,
I do have an appointment with an endo at the end of July. It seems she is either really busy or this is the norm for where I live. Nevertheless.... I don't have the ranges as I simply called and asked my docs nurse what the readings were and figured I could look up the ranges online. I have since learned it varies depending on the lab. Based upon what I have looked up I believe my TT3 range is 80 and up..where mine is at 81. the FT4 is .8 -2.8 and up, where mine is 1.0
and the TSH range is for sure is .4 - 4.5 where mine is .85
Additionally, I am now 48 years old. I have every symptom listed for thyroid imbalance including the skin around my nose and mouth peeling like Ive had a really bad sunburn but its not a wet peel. Very very flaky peel... but looks identical to when you are peeling from a sunburn. Big flaky chunks. Now suffering from some pretty bad muscle pain that cant be explained by any other diagnosis... all my blood work for everything else is perfect. Add in a little history on me, I didn't start my period until I was 15 1/2. The subsequent decade I was lucky to see it once every 3 months.. sometimes longer..sometimes shorter. Then at 25 I completely stopped having one until I turned 30 and then boom She was back!..... at 34 I got pregnant for the first time and my husband and I were both shocked because we had given up on that notion. The subsequent decade I never got prego again but my periods became regular. We thought we had had our miracle baby. Then at 44... Surprise !!!! preggers again. I had my tubes tied because I was just too old to go through that again... it was quite difficult for me but I do recall both times I was pregnant I NEVER EVER EVER felt better and happier in all my life including when I was 15.
based on all of that I believe I have some kind of thyroid issue. I did have my FSH levels checked back when I lost my period for those 5 years but all came back normal. In fact the doc gave me provera to induce my period.. told me i would have one after 7 days. Well she was wrong. Even that did not induce my period. So I was told I was going through perimenupause and I gave up . I did not know then to look into my thyroid.
What do you think ?
Thanks again for replying
I am scared the doctors are going to shoo me away again and say nothing is wrong when I KNOW something is.
