So I went to the doctor today to have my thyroid check&the doctor did some test&check my thyroid levels&also did a sono, what she couldn't understand is how am I still hypo when I have no thyroid. All of it was removed the last part when I was 14years old,she also found a lymph node that is on the left side of my neck,on the v word whatever that is&she said thats a bad place to have it. And thursday I start on 2meds&she hopes that will make it go away. And in a month return and retest thyroid with another sono,I keep hearing hypo thyroid but everytime the NP I was seeing put me on a higher level of thyroid med(levo) why would she up it at old doctor office. And the doctor I saw today wanted to take me all the way off thyroid med,and I ask her would that be a good choice&she didn't answer but went on and lower my level to 100mcg from 150mcg. They say NP knows just as much as the doctor, but a lil more I think not and I don't like seeing them&never see the dr,I rather see the doctor from here on out. Because looks like to me NP has caused me more problems with wrong call&why Iam extra tired we not much strength and why my anxiety started back up real bad this year. I want this fix soon& ?.If.1st dpctor said would have to take thyroid med the rest of my life that was a five when first part was remove. Can one stop their thyroid med&never take it again is this good choice better yet is it a good or bad thing to do,I know yall aren't a doctor just wondering has anyone been through this are going through this now? Will be grateful for all input thanks alot in advance!
