This is long, so I apologize in advance.
I am a 27 year old female, 5'0", 108 lbs and I believe I may have some type of thyroid condition, and I wanted to share my story and maybe get some advice.I have had a blood test done about a week ago and they told me my blood work returned "normal". I have not seen the actual results myself but I am going back to the doctor on Monday to talk to my doctor so I can see the results myself. I have looked around on the internet and found that a lot of people have "normal" blood work but still have all the symptoms. The blood test was ordered in August but I waited to get it done last week because I was waiting to be approved for medicaid and it took a lot longer than expected.
A little back story: Back in July/August I started to notice some weird symptoms starting, but I couldn't really figure out what was going on. I started having heart palpitations /rapid heartbeat at times(although my blood pressure and heart rate was normal besides these episodes). I sometimes felt panicky and felt that it was a little harder to breathe. I was constantly afraid of having a panic attack or a heart attack(I have had panic attacks on the past and have a history of anxiety and depression. However, the increased anxiety and depression I have been experiencing is abnormal for me). I was having mild headaches that would not go away, until late in July I had a horrible tension headache for days where I could not sleep at all due to the pain, and when I did finally sleep, I would wake up suddenly gasping, feeling like I had to catch my breath. I was becoming delirious from the lack of sleep and the lack of restful sleep. I also was having acid reflux problems and digestive problems. The gas in my stomach/intestines would rumble around all night and I was having increased bowel movements/increased urination and sometimes constipation.
It starting progressing to the point where I was becoming increasingly fatigued and constantly tired(although I usually am a tired person, this has been worse than normal).
A while back, maybe late last year into early 2013, I had gained weight and was up to around 120-123 which is not normal for me. I attributed this to eating less healthy and eating a lot. This year, however, I went back down to around 115 because I gave up caffeine and sugary drinks and replaced them with water and herbal tea, and tried to watch calories. But around late July/early August I started losing weight rapidly without trying. Not a huge amount but enough for me to notice that it kept going down and nothing really changed about my diet.I am now around 108 and can't seem to gain weight, but I have stabilized around this weight. I have started taking a probiotic so some of my digestive problems have quieted down a bit.
My blood pressure is normally 120/80 but the last time I went to the doctor in August it was I think 90/80.
Now for the symptoms I have been experiencing:
