I am a 19 year old student and i do not know the cause of my problem but i think it can be related to the thyroid gland. I feel very exhausted, tired during the day. The fatigue usually goes away during exercise but the day after i just feel overwhelmed. I have a problem of feeling too hot or cold. Mental fog is also present, i cannot think clearly the way i used to. Sometimes when i wake up , my throat feels extremely dry beneath my adams apple. My eyes are very tired, i feel like closing them all the time. They are sensitive to sunlight or other bright lights. My skin is also very dry, especially my hands. I am tired of searching what is wrong with me, because no one can find it out. I went to a lot of doctors, and all of my blood tests seem fine. There may be a connection with thyroid problems because i experience alot of symptoms from it or with some other hormones. These were my results from the last lab test about thyroid:
TSH 3.720 uIU/mL 0.450 - 4.500
thyroxine (T4) 8.7 ug/dL 4.5 - 12.0
T3 Uptake 37 % 24 - 38
Free Thyrox indx 3.2 1.2 - 4.9
Also my DHEA-Sulfate levels were elevated at 510.2 ( range 115-459.6)
Everything else seemed fine in the CBC, and with the metabolic panel.
Other symptoms that i can feel are : i realised that my hair starting falling of a little bit while i shower, sometimes i cannot breathe properly during physical exercise, i feel like i cannot keep my body temp at a constant, i get irritated quite easily ( at things that i did not even consider a problem before), and so on
I just want to find out what is the problem, so i can starting living normal again. I can live with it, but it is making the life more difficult. I am generally not happy anymore, and i wish i could know what is the cause.
So if anyone has a clue, i would appreciate the help.
