Last year a 1.5 cm nodule was found on my left lobe and a 6mm on my right lobe. (Incidental finding to a repeat CT due to monitoring of a nodule on my lung) in the mean time I had gained 30 lbs in 3.5 months and had not changed any part of my lifestyle. My DO tested my TSH which was in normal range but my Antibodies were very high ( I can't find the results in my file but I remember that the anti thyroglobine was 140 over normal and the 2nd one was high too) we did an FNA with US in the 1.5 which came back follicular cells present-benign. So ENT suggested wait and see. The Endo. I saw said that the antibody test was meaningless because my TSH was normal and he sent me to an ENT. So fast forward 1 year. (In 3 months I lost the 30lbs and again have changed nothing) we repeated the US and now the 1.5 is 1.9 (I know dr said change is very minimal but the 6mm on right is the same size but now is described as hypoechoic with calcifications. My dr said it's up to you. We can do an FNA with US and try to get both but the 6mm will be really hard to do and wait and see or we can, if you are worried, remove your thyroid. So my question is what would you guys/gals do? Other symptoms that may or may not be related, I'm really new to this- hair loss, weight in stomach that I have never had.
