I'm new here. Been diagnosed with hyperthyroid since July this year and started on 10mg Carb since August, and been staying on that dose until now. Around the end of last month (November) I started having alot tachycardia and some palpitations, rough it for a few week until I given up and went for a blood test. It showed :
7 Dec 2013
Free T3 : 4.4 pmol/L (3.5-6.5)
Free T4 : 14.7 pmol/L (11.5-22.7)
TSH : 5.37 mIU/L (0.35-5.50)
My thyroid seems to have been on that range (Free T4 wise, not sure about others since endo didn't bother to check it) since the end of October, and all the palps and high heart rate seems to dissapear, average heart rate was around 70-80 bpm (even though that I have some brain fog and cold intolerant, very intolerant i might add, muscle pain, and feeling tired some times), until December arrived. I started having alot over 100 bpm days and skipped heart beats and palpitations. Also started having more panic attack, which reminded me of when I was badly hyper'ed. I thought I might've been over medicated so I went to my endo and she brushed me off, and saying you can never get tachycardia with low thyroid, only slow heart rate, and even when your TSH is over 10 you will still feel normal, and sent me off saying my thyroid is normal now keep taking the same dosage of carbs. (She also brushes off when I said I was cold intolerant now and even a rainy day I felt like its winter.)
I have no idea what happening, and palps, tach is making me feel like dying all over again like when I was hyper. I have an appointment with cardiologist, but all of them are on leave till new year, so I'm stuck here with this horrible symptoms.
Does anyone have any experience or insights. Anything will be greatly appreciated.
I read on Elaine Moore website Q&A section and she advices that people should be on the higher end of the range till you get into remission, and my endo disagreed.
