Hi Everyone,

Im a newbie to this forum and have been searching for some answers here and cant seem to find anything.

I have been hypo for quite a while but diagnosed in 2004.  Two years ago I went to a new GP and he did my blood work and changed my synthroid from 150 to 137 and I felt fine and all before that.  After the dose change my thyroid had been a wacky roller coaster. I cant seem to find the right dosage and my symptoms have gotten worse and new ones arrived since the new dose.  I have since changed drs and now Im seeing an endo and on Armour 120mg alternating every other day to 180mg.

All labs were normal three weeks ago.

The last week or so I have been getting heart palpitations feeling tired when not doing much at all. Today I decided enough is enough and got halfway through a thorough cleaning of the kitchen and decided to take a break and eat something, I was starting to sweat some from the activities of moving things to get cleaned underneath and around. As soon as I sat down to eat I started to sweat more and starting feeling ill.  I went up to bed to lay down and I began to sweat more and had real bad stomach pain and a bit of indigestion and also some tingling in my feet and hands.  I took some sips of water and starting feeling better shortly.  Everything went away as abruptly as it arrived. Then had one bout of diarrhea and that was it I felt fine the rest of the day.

I did some research online and the only thing I could come up with is thyroid storm or the fact that I hate to drink water and I am usually chronically dehydrated.  I cant figure it out.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

labs will be done tomorrow due to a call to dr for heart palpitations yesterday.  So no doc visit.

When I was very hyperthyroid I had "dumping syndrome." I'd eat, and my stomach would dump all the food into my small intestine too quickly. This caused stimulation of my vagal nerve, which then gave me the dumping syndrome. Light headedness, profuse perspiration, nausea, diarrhea and an episode of vomiting which ended the spell.

Heart palpitations can also be a symptom of hyper. I hope your labs will be informative. If you can post the results (with reference numbers), perhaps we can help a bit more.

hmmm well I didn't get to eat much before this episode. BUT I have been having more frequent BMs the last week or so. about an hour after eating I have to go.  That is unusual for me also.  Actually I was thinking I had an ulcer or something going on a few weeks ago. I would get stomach pains that would go away after eating.   Ill post my labs with ranges when they come back in a few days.  Thanks for your input :-)
