just came back from my dentist , and just in general chat I mentioned I now have this issue , and my Hygienist heard me talking about it , and she came out and said , I just found out on the 19th I have it , OMG me too same day I was told , anyway in 15 minutes 6 girls all said the same thing , all found out this year , then I went food shopping about 10 minutes ago , just in chat with my friend at the check out I mentioned whats going on with my thyroid , and low and behold , her too , she found out 2 months ago , and within 10 minutes 3 other girls all chimed in , they to have it I now am thinking , Folks , if you aint got Thyroid disease you aint cool , and out of the 10 girls and myself that's 11 , none of us had any signs of it.

Nice to know we're in with the "in" crowd, eh? I guess I must be a trend-setter then, because I had my treatment in 1993.

Actually, I think there are more subtle measures available to diagnose it as well as better treatment options, so docs are testing more routinely for it. Better to be treated before symptoms become so noticeable, because it can take several months to a year to get back to normal if you're off by much.
