On Tirosint. Still having anxiety upon awakening, weight gain and hair loss. Levels supposedly within normal limits. Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome,
Please post your actual thyroid blood tests with reference ranges!
Just being within normal range in not enough .
What is the dose of Tirosint you take? For how long have you been on it ?

Your results from 11/11 are optimal, but with hashi you will need to adjust your dose several times till you reach a steady state.

13 mcg / day is a very small dose and most probably you will end up on a higher dose.

Maybe you need to repeat the blood tests .

Best,

Thank you for your response. I have blood tests again in March. I see little change in my blood work and the symptoms of hair loss and anxiety are unchanged.

Hi,
As I told you, with hashimoto one will need to increase the dose every about three months until the thyroid gland is balanced and in steady state, so most probably you will end up on a higher dose.

Keep us posted when you get your blood tests results !
