I'm SURE many do not know the history of Armour thyroid support and Dr. Barnes...maybe some of you may want to know this:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broda_Otto_Barnes
Wikipedia
Broda Otto Barnes (14 April 1906 – 1 November 1988) was an American ... He completed his M.D. in 1937 at Rush Medical College, and for two years he was ...

As I see it today, MOST MD's prescribe synthetic thyroid support vs the desiccated support like Armour. I'm sure there are MD's out there who will prescribe Armour but the synthetics I believe are the most prescribed today.. I'm thankful to be taking Armour. J

I was telling others after 10 yrs of clinical depression and cocktails of A/D's and all those years of trying to get support, the LONG depression lifted away in 4 days time....once i got on Armour. Back in 2002 doc started me on 30mg I recall and today I take 120mg daily, 2 grains.

My, you got remarkably fast relief from your medication. Response to thyroid hormone replacement, natural or synthetic, is normally a gradual process and objective gains are seen in six to twelve weeks. I'm glad you're feeling better.

Yes, it was amazing how quickly and I remember like it was yesterday and it was back in 2002 after struggling since 1991 on the depression and all the A/D's...

it was such a process and good friends helping me too, with books etc and thyroid support groups.... there is so much dark history to all this thyroid and I've learned so much over so many years of my searching. J
