New to board - question

Quick summary -hypo, hashi since 2000. Total thyroidectamy 2010. Levothyroxine the whole time.

Insurance says they no longer cover that med and want me to go to synthroid. What is the difference between the two? I'm freaking out a bit.

Hope to get to know you all and I can share my experience over the years.

Thank you for the info. I kept doing a search & they were linked. Any changes when I am doing ok just freaks me out. Especially when my insurance makes this decision, not me! What I dont understand is why they would want to go to a "brand name" when they already cover the generic. Probably more money out of my pocket!
