Hi, my name is Gina and I am new to this site. I thought I would give it a shot to get to know people that are similar to myself and find some inspiration. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's a year ago and within the year piled on gastroperisis, a genetic mutation that impacts things, diabetic neuropathy without having diabeties, and so on. Anxiety and depression are always a problem and lately I havent been able to eat without vomiting. I ran out of the meds that help the gastro and have been feeling really down about my state. I thought I could reach out and know I am not alone.

I am 23, just graduated college with 2 degrees, and used to be very passionate about a lot of things. I would love to get to know some of you!

Hi and welcome! I'm new here too and have found these forums to be very helpful. Congrats on obtaining two degrees - that's awesome!

I'm sorry you're dealing with so many health issues, especially at a young age. I hope you find the support you need here.

Thanks for replying MsHippo! It really means a lot to me. Yeah, it is crazy being young and sick like this, especially because it happened relatively over night. I woke up with bronchitis, went to the Dr, and could never get better and it eventually all added up to this haha. I luckily have a great support system (my girlfriend, family ect) but sometimes I still feel pretty alone, especially when they are all busy and I am just left with my thoughts and feeling horrible. I hope that you are managing your symptoms well! How have you been?

A great support system is sometimes the best thing in the world. I'm glad you have that! I also know that it's sometimes hard for them to understand all this. That's what makes this forum so great - people who really understand.

I was DXd with Hashi's and hypo in Feb. I got sick suddenly last October and have gone downhill since then. After my Hashi's diagnosis I was on a mission to find out what caused all of this. It turned out to be Lyme disease. I just started my lyme meds yesterday. My doctor thinks I should feel much better in 6-9 months, so I'm riding the wave and staying positive to hopefully become healthy agai.

Yes exactly! I love the support I have but it is definitely nice to talk to people that are experiencing similar things.

It is so weird how quickly this stuff can happen. I am glad it sounds you are on the right track, even if it is far away. There is nothing worse than that feeling of being lost with what to try next. I am hoping when I get back on reglan for the gastro that things will even out for me again and start to look up. If not I am at a loss. Luckily I have a great doctor that is willing to try different things but I just want to feel like my old self again.

Hi,
Do you have thyroid related blood tests (TSH) and reference ranges to post here ?
Hypo as well as hyper can cause anxiety and depression , so we need to see your TSH to make sure you are on the optimal dose for you .
