Hi ,
Your TSH is a bit low , when I had a TSH of 1 I felt hyper , so you might want to consult with an endo .
Are you on any thyroid medication ?

Regarding your PTH , I have no experience with it , but it looks like it is a bit high , which is another good reason why to see an endo .

Just falling in normal range is not enough , being low normal or high normal is frequently associated with symptoms .

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the community and would appreciate some feedback on my recent labs if possible.

TSH 4.6 (range .045-4.5)
T3 Free 3.5 (range 2.0-4.8)
T4 Free 1.0 (range .08-1.7)
TPO Antibody 160 (range <=34)
My vitamin D level was basically non existent as well.

I have classic symptoms of being tired, cold, sleep issues, can't lose weight (in fact, keep gaining despite diet and exercise) plus a million other things and my glucose level is also rising. I feel more and more miserable with each passing day yet my doctor told me to come back in a month because "thyroid levels are related to allergies" What?!? So she didn't want to treat me at all. She gave me a vitamin D prescription and told me to come back in 4 weeks.

My tsh was a 2.11 in Jan 2015 and now its a 4.6, 11 months later. Seems fishy to me. I made an appointment with a naturopath for this afternoon so I am hoping for more answers. In the meantime, I would love any advice or feedback! Thank you so much!

Hi ,
Your TSH of 4.6 is high and indicative of hypothyroidism , also since your TPOab are positive this confirms that you have hashimoto's thyroiditis , which is the cause to your hypo.

Soon or late you should be put on Levothyroxine , to bring your TSH down to around 2.5 , you should insist on being put on brand name levo and not the generic form , of course if your insurance allow, this will keep your levels steady.

The levo should be taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach one hour before eating or drinking any thing except water , and it should be take at the same amount each day.

Thank you! My naturopath believed I also had Hashimoto's and gave me Nature-Throid. I have heard good things about this medication so I am hopeful this will help. Do you have any experience with this medication?

I have no experience with this medication , it might not be approved by the American FDA , it is possible that you feel well on it , but it worth mentioning also that the ratio of t3 to t4 in pigs differs from that of humans .

Hi all I'm back still feeling lousy and no answers I had thyroid tested again and it's changed a big from December's
Tsh 2.062 range 0.4500-4.500
T4 0.89 range 0.82-1.77
T3 2.6 range 2.0-4.4
My t4 seems to have dropped 10 more point my tsh has gone up a bit I can't compare my t3 as it wasn't checked before

What does all this message should I seek another Dr mine says normal ranges I'm lousy I cry everyday a few has said low t4 t3 cause symptoms even though it is in range its low normal. Please if anyone can explain this thyroid and number thing to me I'd appreciate it. Also does it look like I could have a thyroid problem?
