Hello. I was diagnosed with lupus in 2011. Does lupus patient have any issues with being anemic and hyperthyriod /hypothyroid? I went to see my Dr last sept 2015 to do some blood work because I wasn't feeling that good. She had me go back two wks to find out my blood results but never went back. Well I ended up seeing her last week because I wasn't feeling well. I had a headache, dizzy, fainting feeling, anxious, depressed, sleepy, tired, nauseous, lost appetite, muscle ache, upper stomach pain, insomnia and.well she checked my blood work from last September and told me my blood work came back that I was anemic and thyroid was off. Well she told me that might be the reason why I was feeling so sick and depressed. Obviously my iron and thyroid mist of been way off since I never did anything about it since September right? Well she had me do another blood work and ask me to go see her next week. Did your lupus ever interfered with making you anemic and thyroid problems? I'm so looking forward into seeing my Dr next week because even though she gave me some iron pills I'm still feeling bad .my anxiety and depression has gotten worse.I have been told thyroid causes anxiety and depression and some other symptoms that I have likefeeling you have something in your throat that bothers you and harseness .

Lupus is an autoimmune disease, as are many of the common causes of thyroid problems. A person who has one autoimmune disease is much more likely to have a second than people in general. Be sure to follow up with your doctor as recommended; thyroid disease is easily treated in most cases.
