Just diagnosed with hypothyroidism Epstein Barr and anxiety/panic disorder. I'm suffering from severe dizziness I feel like I'm always light headed or going to pass out my legs and left arm get tingly a lot my dizziness is the worst in the morning and starts to feel better in late afternoon I also get heart palpations I'm on synthroid and Xanax my question is are these symptoms normal with what I've been diagnosed with I'm freaking out all the time thinking there is something way worse wrong with me I've had a CT scan on my head which was normal all normal EKGs and I am seeing a cardiologist which he says everything looks normal with my heart

Hi and welcome to the forum,

What is your dose of Synthroid ? for how long have you been taking it ? What are your lab values? specially TSH ?

Palpitations are more common with hyper but are possible also with hypo, so are anxiety and panic disorder.

Were you tested for Hashimoto's disease ? if not, then you need to be tested for TGab and antiTPOab, if either is positive then you have it and it is the cause for your hypo.

with hashi one will need to increase the dose of Synthroid each about three months based on TSH.
