I am a 24 yr old woman who has been suffering from hot flushes and generalized hyperhidrosis since age 19. I sweat badly all over my body if I am slightly hot, feel any stress or strong emotion, etc. I've been getting these hot flashes about once a week, the level of intensity varying. I have seen a few gynecologists who don't really know what to do. I have seen one endocrinologist who simply gave me a pep talk and did not run any diagnostic tests.

I am currently taking Blisovi Fe as an oral contraceptive and that is my only medication currently. My hormone levels are low but this is normal for a woman taking oral contraception. I have regular periods.

My family doctor does not have much expertise in this area, so I need a specialist's opinion. Please note there does not appear to be any thyroid related problem or any kind of vitamin/mineral deficiency. My doctors have ruled out many potential causes for the hyperhidrosis.

Please offer any suggestions or recommendations for treatment.

Thank you.

Hi carlita22,

Do you have any recent thyroid function tests to share with us because we can not help you without seeing your TSH test levels, also this is a thyroid forum and all the help that we can offer is regarding thyroid and we are not a qualified MDs or specialists so it will be only based on our own personal experience.

Best and wishes for good health,
