Difficulty swallowing, tightness in neck - dr felt enlarged thyroid. Sent for ultrasound.
10 MM X 6 MM X 9 MM COMPLEX NODULE IN THE INFERIOR ASPECT OF THE RIGHT LOBE. THE LESION IS CONSIDERED TO BE SUSPICIOUS.
Ultrasound irritated throat and now really difficult to swallow and having to constantly clear my throat. Voice constatntly comes and goes.
FNA scheduled for 8/16 and told they might have to do several due to being a complex nodule.
Nervous about FNA and having to deal with choking feeling for next 3 weeks.
Is this considered a tiny tumor? Does having a tumor on the inferior aspect of the lobe mean anything different than the outside?
